Ananse Climate Tuesday #1

Over the next four Tuesdays, we will have climate experts, creatives and storytellers come in and enlighten us on the climate crisis from an African point of view.

This Tuesday, we will start with not one, but TWO sessions. In the morning at 10 AM Accra/noon Amsterdam, the wonderful Ken Kinney (founder The Development Institute, UN Habitat) will give us an overview of the climate crisis and what it is doing to Ghana.

In the evening at 7 PM Accra/9 PM Amsterdam we are honored to welcome the awesome Nnimmo Bassey, Nigerian architect, environmental activist, author of ‘To Cook a Continent’ and poet, for a dialogue on climate change as a social justice issue.
The sessions will be moderated by the one and only Ama van Dantzig.

These public sessions are part of the Ananse Climate Fellowship, an immersive program for writers and illustrators to develop new Ananse stories about climate change. The Tuesday sessions will be open to all, so that we can grow stronger in the face of climate change. Happy to share in the moment with you!

The sessions will be broadcast via Zoom on this link (the same link for all sessions): https://zoom.us/j/96505848120?pwd=YXEyT3llRjBtL0RtelZJRkZySVJwQT09
and via Facebook live on the Dr. Monk page.
